Here at Uldplaiden we have a large selection of genuine lambskin in the finest natural and beautiful colors. Each skin is unique in its own way, and therefore variations in color, shape and size may occur. Our lambskin comes from sheep that have lived under natural conditions in Europe. They are by-products of meat production, which is your guarantee that NO sheep have been killed just for their skin. To get the best possible quality, the skins are processed at a European organic tannery in Poland, which meets European standards, where quality control is continuously carried out.
Lambskin in different varieties and colors
We have many different varieties of genuine lambskin. In our selection you will find, among other things, long-haired Icelandic lambskin, short-haired European lambskin, lambskin in XL and regular sizes. Genuine lambskin is timeless and fits perfectly into the Nordic interior, where it helps to create coziness. Use the lambskin over a chair, sofa or on the floor as a lovely soft blanket. You can also use the skin outside so that your back does not freeze. NB: We would like to point out that the dyed lambskin may fade in color, for example, when exposed to sunlight.
Washing instructions and care for lambskin
Lambskin is a natural product and is very easy to care for. It contains a natural content of lanolin (a type of wool grease), which cleans and softens the skin. To ensure that you have your skin for a long time, we have some recommendations for you below and on this page. We recommend that you gently air or vacuum your lambskin regularly to ensure a long shelf life. To get the fluffy look back, the skin should be brushed up. Lambskin cannot be washed in the washing machine. Should it absolutely be necessary, leave it to professionals at a dry cleaner. Or try to remove the stain with a damp cloth.
