About the Wool Plaid

At Uldplaiden, it's about much more than just plaids. We want to create coziness, warmth and quality in everyday life – in a way that feels honest and responsible.

The company was founded in 2020 by Mette and her son Emil as a natural outgrowth of their shared interest in design, quality and good craftsmanship. The idea was simple: to make beautiful wool products accessible to everyone – without compromising on materials, the environment or price.

Quality with care

The vast majority of our products are woven in Ukraine under high standards for both quality and responsible production. Most are OEKO-TEX® certified, and we prioritize climate-friendly transportation by truck over air to reduce CO₂ emissions.
We believe that beautiful design and sustainable choices can go hand in hand.

Design with soul

Mette has many years of experience as a decorator, and her passion for colors, materials and details is reflected throughout the entire range. She believes in the principle of “little but good” – and that a home should feel personal, calm and well thought out.
That's why at Uldplaiden you will only find products with timeless design and lasting quality that you can enjoy for many years.

Family values and professionalism

Emil is responsible for the technical part of the webshop. With his background in sales and purchasing and his interest in digital solutions, he ensures that the webshop always functions optimally – so you have a safe and smooth experience as a customer.
Together, Mette and Emil form a small, family-owned team, where presence, quality and good service are always at the center.

Rooted in Odense – and with our hearts in everything we do

Our head office is located in the heart of Odense, where we share everyday life with our sister company Otherstuff . The warehouse is located in Odense N, and all orders are always packed by us - with care and love for detail.

Design and quality

Design and quality are deeply in our DNA here at Uldplaiden. We only work with suppliers who share our respect for both craftsmanship and the environment. Our lambskin, for example, is a by-product of meat production – this means that no animals have been killed just for their skin. At the same time, the sheep have lived under natural conditions before the skins have been processed at a European, organic tannery that meets all applicable standards.

OEKO-TEX Label

All of our own wool plaid blankets are OEKO-Tex labeled. This means that they have been tested for substances harmful to health and the environment, and you can therefore be sure that they are harmless to your health. The test is carried out by independent OEKO-Tex institutes according to the comprehensive OEKO-Tex criteria catalog, which is updated at least once a year based on new knowledge . Italian blankets with Woolmark certification are made from 100% pure wool and are known for their quality and warmth. Woolmark is an international brand that guarantees the high quality of the wool in the blankets. CSR - Responsibility towards the environment our way

We take responsibility and care for our environment. We try to make a difference every day where we can. That is why we implement social and environmental considerations in our business activities. We are members of the Odense Sustainability Council , which works for sustainable solutions in Odense. Including the UN's 17 global goals concerning environmental and social sustainability, and we do the same here at Uldplaiden. We use STOK Emballage , which is a member of EUMOS, has an FCS certificate, a BRC certificate and is a member of PackSynergy. In doing so, they do their part to take care of our earth, as their products are created and made with consideration for the environment, and thus provide the best conditions for online shopping.
